Unless you want an auto they are all gone, believe me I looked. And Mom that's why I don't want a Honda, all the good ones are ruined.

And your brother's accord v6 has the same amount of power as an e36 M3, so the notion of "BMW's are too powerful" is plain bullshit.

I however haven't told her that the car has that much power because it is a stick and it would not be my first choice, but it would be a good sleeper

Good luck with your search. I have a Type S that I love! Because you always have your eyes for the car you own, I've seen a dark red and silver one for sale around my area (Finger Lakes NY), but no idea if they are autotragic.

I'd be okay with an auto if it wasn't a bad transmission. I'm not a person who HAS to have a manual transmission. Auto is actually preferred over manual in most cars for me. This is one of those few exceptions where I would prefer the manual though.

I'd just be scared of early 00's Honda Autos, I know of multiple people with Odysseys with transmission issues, one is so bad it sometimes won't go out of park.

I don't know about RSXs though, but I feel the nature of the car calls for a manual.

Exactly how I feel. This car was designed to have a manual transmission.

Now if we were talking an E36, I'd be perfectly fine with the auto. I've driven a 328i with an auto and it's a good transmission.

I wouldn't trust the auto in an e36 not to shit-the-bed at the age of the things though,

BMW's have a few major weak points:

Power Windows, Automatic Transmissions, and the cooling system.

I feel like European cars should be had with manuals because that's what the home market drives while a full size American sedan should have a bench seat and a column shifter.

Well the one I drove was a '98 with 159,000 miles on the original transmission. It shifted crisp and fast.

Doing some research, it's a GM transmission... 4L30-E. Same transmission used in the Cadillac Catera.

Ok, then it shouldn't be bad like the ZF ones are, I don't know, to me, I want to shift.

Actually when no one is home I Will sit in the garage and pretend I'm driving my mom's Miata and shift through the gears.

I'm in an auto-only household. It's depressing because my dad only drove stick until he bought his automatic Silverado so my mom could drive it.

I'm not sure you mean that. The manual in my Type-S was rivaled only by my Miata. Short shifter and heavy knob + Hondata = wait to shift to 3rd until 8500 RPM every time.

That sucks, how old are your parents. Mine are 50 so my mom had to learn because my grandpa still had a car with a manual when she started. At least you care, I know a lot of people who 'hate' the manual transmission.

I happen to have an 06 Type S in Black. It's just got an intake, headers, exhaust, sitting on RPF-1s, and on some Eibach Sportline springs. But I will fight tooth and nail to keep it.
